I'm Art, a writer, based in Dublin. Most of my work has been in theatre, but I also regularly write episodes for the RTE soap, Fair City. And occasionally, I'll make an opera libretto. A lot of my work for stage has involved a musical element, which might just be a socially acceptable way of channelling a pathological compulsion to rhyme. Also detectable are traces of politics, parody and fantasy.

 I've put some samples of my work up on this site, sticking to lyrics, because I think a self-contained lyric reads better than out-of-context dialogue. For in-context dialogue, some of my plays are published and available to buy (or to produce, should you feel inclined).
